The bronze and aluminum sculpture was cast using the ancient
lost wax process, a casting process seldom used today.
Sculpture is created using sheets of wax. Wax sculpture is
prepared for casting; enclosed in a mold. Molds are placed
in a kiln pit; wax evaporated (“Lost
Wax”) Molten metal is poured into hot molds. Metal sculpture
is broken out of mold; patina is applied. |
